QPY Overview

$QPY is Quantropy’s native token. It is the fuel of reality—the unit of account and payment for consuming verifiable quantum entropy from the network.

Role of $QPY

  • Access — API calls are paid (or metered) in $QPY. To request entropy, you spend $QPY.

  • Settlement — Spend is settled on Solana; the token is the settlement asset for the protocol’s economy.

  • Incentives — $QPY is used to incentivize operators, QPU providers, and other network participants (exact mechanics depend on protocol design).

So $QPY is not just “a token”—it is the way you pay for real quantum entropy and the way the network aligns incentives around the DePIN.

Why “fuel of reality”?

Quantropy delivers physical randomness—reality-based entropy, not simulated. $QPY is what you spend to get that reality into your application. Every API call that consumes entropy is backed by real quantum measurement and on-chain settlement; $QPY is the bridge between your use case and that infrastructure.

How spending works

When you make an API call that consumes entropy, you spend $QPY. The token is permanently removed from supply (burned)—see Spend and Burn. That creates a deflationary pressure and ties token circulation directly to real usage of the network.
